Sir Edmond Gin’s Sound Pairing Competition Is Back

New experiences are created by sights, smells, flavours, and sounds that leave their impressions on our memories. Here at Sir Edmond Gin, we love to awaken our senses and go on journeys in tasting, trying, and mixing new things. We noticed many food and cocktail pairing competitions around, and we decided to try something a little different: a cocktail and sound pairing competition. We launched our first Sir Edmond Gin & Sound Pairing Competition, and people loved it. This fall, we will be bringing it back.

We have always believed the right playlist can set the mood, and music, just like nature, inspires us daily. In the weeks before Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), we are already getting excited! This October, we will be back with the Sir Edmond Gin & Sound Pairing Competition, our favourite cocktail competition, which will be hosted at the prestigious LuminAir Bar, part of the Hilton hotel in Amsterdam with a panoramic view of the city, the perfect setting to let our selected bartenders show off their skills.

During the competition, a group of fifteen bartenders will let the music do the talking and create their own Sir Edmond Gin cocktails inspired by a track that moves them. Detroit house, classical music, power ballads, it’s all about the music. On October 16th, they will have the chance to craft their creation live in front of a three-member jury consisting of Alejandro Saravia, Bar Manager of LuminAir Amsterdam, Gianinni Statia, our Brand Activation Manager, and Dave Mulder owner of The Cocktail Agency.

The bartenders participating in the competition work at the best bars in The Netherlands. To give you an impression of some names: Flying Dutchmen Cocktails, The Stockroom, PAAK Vinyl Bar, 23rd Bar, Miry Mary, Ayla, Ultramarijn, Deus Cantina Amsterdam, Law & Order, Twentytwo Streetfood & Cocktailbar and The Peacock Bar.

The lucky winner will receive a check for €1.000, eternal fame, and a gold record. The winner will also be featured on The Spirits Business and our website.

We can’t wait!
